Re: Upgrading Brakes on SFA

I definitely also have to do something about my brakes. With the recent rains that started again I was once again reminded to have much bigger following distances (for other road users to take advantage of). My left rear wheel has the tendency to lock up. Wish there were a relatively easy way to fix...

Congrats! It looks great. Many happy miles with your new bakkie.

Re: Leon se Hilux

Hi Guys, It actually did 600K on a 2.4 diesel! Unbelievable but true. :D The bakkie used to belong to my grandfather who had it from new. It came with a 3Y engine which he immediately exchanged for the 2L. Owning that Hilux was a dream of mine ever since I was little. I learned to drive in it, went ...

Re: Leon se Hilux

It is actually a typo on my side... oops. It is a 5 at the end.

The part number should be the same for all models. The part was originally from the later model Raiders.

Re: Aircon pump broken

I bought a complete AC for my bakkie for R1500!!! It was an awesome find. I still need to install it but my Hilux being a quite older model there is no pre drilled holes in the firewall for the pipes and I have got no clue where more or less to mount the condensor and the small cylinder (What is it ...

Where did you get the plastic covers for the inside of your wheel arches? I can't track any down in Cape Town.
I got them from Toyota directly. They were about R500 for the lot. Not to bad I think.

Need to see how the rollbar looks and where they are welded/bolted.
I will take a photo or two and post it here...
