Thanx MD & Ooooms, will try the padlock thing, even if it is just for extra peace of mind! Will fill a plastic "bank sakkie" with a mixture

MD, only the black area's will be re-painted. The alu will stay the same.

Ok, I added some peekchas so you guys know what I'm talking about!

The areas that I roughly outlined with red is the areas I wana go over again with a new polyurethane or rubberize
type of paint. Something that I would be able to do myself.

When I go camping I run a 80l Luna fridge and still charge my lanterns and mp3 players, all on a normal battery. I have as of yet
never had a flat battery, but I also must say that I start up the vehicle every morning and let it idle for about 5 -10 min!

That was my thoughts exactly. The current old stone chip is really rough so I don't think adhesion would
be a problem. I must just give it a good wash and leave it to dry out in the sun for a day or two.

Any idea what a tin of Durabak costs and where I can get it?

Ok, I havent had time to post pics but I have done some research and found 2 possible paints to do the trailer.

What do you guys recommend, Hammerite or Durabak?? :think:

I'm leaning towards Durabak because of its rough finish and durability!
