Many thanks for the replies. Wiring in the engine bay looks stock standard. The search/enquiries continue. No need for NO2 thanks[emoji23]

Unknown switch on console below drivers side cup holder

Good morning. I recently replaced my Landcruiser 105 with a 2012 Hilux DC V6 4x4. Any idea what function the switch on the bottom left corner of the photo below, performs? It appears on closer inspection to be an aftermarket installation. I plan to enquire with the dealer on Monday but would appreci...

Re: Reliability of Auto Vigo D4D

I have two mates who have had costly deep pocket issues with D4D auto. Go manual in the diesel or the V6 with 5 speed auto if you want the latter and don’t do high mileage commuting etc

Re: 1979 Toyota Hilux 18R 4x4 LWB Restoration

Great restoration Johann, my old man owned one of these between 1992 and 2008. It gave incredible service during this period and he still spots in it traffic earning its keep around East London. I have the 18R Toyota Manual lying around at home. If you don't have one in the cubby hole, just send me ...

Thanks for the feedback received to date. I saw a stock DC 4x2 Legend running on 31 BFG's this weekend, so it should as you mention be fine, with rubbing only taking place when you turn very sharply.

I have run 31's on a SFA with no mods, but am now enquiring about running these on a Legend (IFS) - i see that Pietpetoors has 31's on his IFS but not sure if he has after market suspension fitted. Will PM him

Will 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's fit on a stock Legend 35?

Hi all,

Busy organising new tyres for my std Hilux Legend. Currently running 255/70/15's. I have been told by two drivers that the 31x10.5x15 tyre's wont fit without a suspension upgrade and that i should go for 30x9.5x15's.

Do you agree?

If it has: genuine fsh, and has not been abused, it will easily do 500 000km without any work needed.

Panelbeating advice

So my wife reversed the hilux intoour old Landrcruiser and dimpled the tailgate of the lux .... two minor dents with no paint removed... can they fix/panelbeat this area of a tailgate - its just above the letter "O" - the Landcruiser got off lightly with a broken tail-light - clearly they ...

Thanks for the response Okkie,

A pic would be great. So you can see yours on the front side of the rear diff. I could not pick this up on the vehicle i inspected unless i was not looking carefully enough!

Diffloc on a 1998 - 2005 Hilux

Ok, so here goes a silly question from an owner of a 93 Hilux 4x4 which never came with difflock: I recently had a look at a 2003 Hilux DC 4x4 which has a push button diffloc on the dash - i then had a look underneath as I was expecting to see a difflock actuator on the rear diff - these are visible...

Re: Temperature rising on hills

Is it using/losing water? Worst case scenario, could be a cracked cylinder head.
