Re: Hilux KZTE low on power
Polarbear2008, I would disagree with the pump timing. Pump timing runs on gears direct from crankshaft. Its only the camshaft running on the timing belt. Hennie not to start a slug match but mine looks like the attached photo. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171226/352044fc48652a06f23e4b2c9b3420...

When did this start happening? The wrong type of bulb can also wreak havoc with a vehicle's electricals. I've seen a single filament tail light bulb in the wtong socket cause headlights to go on high beam whenever the brakes were applied. So don't discount anything. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapat...

Look at all the plugs around the diesel pump. It is possibly a lose connection or worn cable around there. At least that is where I would start as the ecu has a hand in the running of the diesel pump on the kz.

Hi all.
Has anyone attempted this conversion yet? I am quite keen on one of Sony's double din units but (as we all know) standard the ifs only takes single din radios.
I appreciate your input.

You say there was a chip on your truck? Is there a intercooler between the turbo and the intake? Standard there wasn't but I know a lot of owners added an intercooler and then a chip to make it run without huge lag.
