You can also try Pedders TrakRyder 4x4 Gas shocks. R6500 for the set.

Pretty sure the standard was 265/70/R16. If there is space in the wheel arches, you could go to 265/75/R16. It's about an inch more in diameter. I have seen them on a few Prado 90's. 235/85/R16 is pretty much the same diameter as the 265/75/R16 - so you could go those. That size tyre will not cause ...

A reroute - moving the crank battery - is pretty easy. Just get a bracket for it in the available space - and a 105 will fit in it's place.
