You can speak to Jaco on 0604515714. He is in Krugersdorp and his dad is in Magaliesburg. They both do repairs and specialize in the SFA. They may work on the KZTE as well. You can mention that I referred you to him. He did the complete front diff on mine, new bearings and seals.

Hello Alfred. There is a pressure leak somewhere in the cooling system. Check the radiator cap, should be sealing well. The rubber seal on the cap should be good. Look for minor leaks on the pipes. Well I don’t have experience of a turbo on 4Y engine however many have claimed that the 4Y is not turbo compatible as per their experiences. I am not sure about the diesel flush. Hopefully one of the more experienced guys could provide feedback on that. A good idea is to open the sump though, there may be sludge in there as well. Clean the oil pick up in the sump also. Use a good quality oil in future.

Speaking about LED lights. I found them to be bright but also directional, meaning the brightness is focused in one direction. In this case downwards. It does lack a bit of brightness in the front seats. You will notice it if you trying to read, etc.

Just a note, the cabin light plastics does not get a hole so easily. I think a bigger bulb was used for brightness which gives off much more heat thus the melting of the plastic. Make sure it has the correct size bulb when reinstalling the new plastic cover.

The alternative may be to get wheel adaptors if you still want to use those rims. The wheel adaptors must be hub centric though, for safety.

If you don't know the history of the vehicle, it will be good to drop all the oils and replenish with the correct spec as per the manual.

The agents are using incorrect spec oils. One type of oil for ALL vehicles! They also use general purpose grease for ALL applications.

It could be the idle air control valve. Not sure how the Hilux one is. Some have water flow through it. When corrosion builds up inside it causes an uneven idle.

Some do not have a water intake.

Remove the electronic plug from the idle air control valve. If it idles ok then that’s your fault.

While the radiator is out do a good flush through the block with a hose. Check if the thermostat is still good, no corrosion, the rubber seal is ok. Use a genuine antifreeze, preferably the Toyota one. The ones from Auto Zone and Midas are not good.

Plastic can be welded. Depends on the workmanship of how good it will hold. For the sake of reliability I suggest to get a new one. Radiator King seems to be a specialists in radiators, by the name.
