I was also thinking, that if the humming becomes a little serious, then I'd go for a 90W140 Gear Oil first, before bringing the Transmission down. What do you think on this?

Also Noticed that, it only humms during those speeds and revs, only when I'm on uniform acceleration, if I deaccelerate, the humming goes away. Was driving completing my errands, and was noticing at the same time, so noticed this also.

The Vehicle is a 1980 Model and has 134k Kms on her. My friend has 4 Vehicles, so this Hilux is used for Loading of Parts & as a Rescue Vehicle. She ain't a 4wd, but has a permanent Rear Diff Lock on her.

Got it sorted by the grace of the Almighty.
Was the Stalk switch contacts dirty. Got them cleaned with WD40, and now the pass beam also works.

Good evening to you all. I refer to the above subject. I've had some issues while changing from low to high beam lights, at times when changing from low to high, the lights switch off, then I need to bring it back to low beam and change again to high. This happens at times only, not on regular basis...

The truck cannot be started as the engine is to be overhauled, therefore the truck won't have any brakes on her at all.
Guess I better ask my friend to get a breakdown truck to Tow her.

Thank you Tim and Johan, If I got you correctly, you meant to engage the transfer case but with the front hub locks on the free position? If that's correct, it wouldn't damage the transfer case?
