To be very honest I haven't driven another kzte to compare. I tend to compare it to the D4D,but saying that the gearing doesn't allow it to be a fair.

The well known lokka you referring to is an auto lokka.The auto lokka in the front diff does take some time to get used to. Manual locking hubs with the lokka is a perfect setup in my opinion.

I would first install a catch can to catch the excess oil fumes going into the intake. Then remove the intercooler and clean it out with petrol, with that high mileage I bet alot of oil has accumulated in the intercooler lying at the bottom.

It depends what difflock you are looking to get ,there are many different variants for the SFA.

The difference in the bearings and rotor will determine if you have ABS or not .The rotor will be the pickup for the ABS sensors.

Hi Chris I had the same situation with my hilux kzte, after many hours I eventually pulled the electric motor off the diff.The internals of the motor were badly corroded and I ended up replacing the unit.

Hi Andy no it isn't but if you turn the key to start postion and release it straight away,the car will crank on it's own until it has started. In other words you do not need to hold the key at the starting postion to start the car.

Small update to the bumber...the angle iron underneath took forever , as you have to line up the holes and still be able to take the bumber out in one piece
