Re: Yaris, verloor krag
Kyk na air flow sensor, lambda sensors en water temp sensors. My M3 het dit gedoen toe is daar vout met my water temp sensor. Die sensor gee meer fuel as die kar koud is ek lean hom uit soos die ebgine warm word. Half om engine te beskerm as j hom hard ry as hy koud is. As daai sensor rond neuk over...

Re: Engines to avoid
I doubt that somebody will consider it an option for conversion into a Hilux Well i had the same engine in my Fiesta ST and after software it made 138kw and 349nm at the wheels. The boost came in at 1700rpm and it made peak torque at 2500rpm. That little engine will actually be an interesting trans...

Re: 2.8 Hilux Unichip Q4
I've heard great things about Koos Swanepoel in Cape town. If you are worried about warranty i would not remove the cat. The gains from removing a new cat is not worth the risk. A car with 120k on the clock will see a worthwhile gain from removing the cat. If you build a down pipe however you will s...

Re: 2.8 Hilux Unichip Q4
Well this guy wanted optimal for all conditions. I have the same setup in my fortuner and its brilliant. However if you only have the one map its tuned for consumption on partial throttle and performance when the accelerator is more than 50% open. So its better in everyway. You can always add the ma...

Re: 2.8 Hilux Unichip Q4
This Hilux only had 1k on the clock when chipped. It gets about 1.5km/l more after the chip in the Venom performance map. He will test consumption map aftet a few tanks.. first he is enjoying the power. Yes its a piggy back with 5 map switch and all 5 custom tuned maps you look at about R8750. Rever...

Fog lights to match Xenon HIDs
Hi everyone,
I installed a 6000k HID kit in the Fortuner, i replaced the fog lights with Philips whitevision, but they are yellow in comparison to the HID dims.
Di you guys have any suggestions for fog bulbs or systems that are as white as the HIDs?

Re: 2.8 Hilux Eco and Sport modes
I thought lets do the test and post the results. You will not believe the BS ive heard with regards to the mode buttons on the new Toyotas. 1. Increase/decrease boost 2. Changes cam timing 3. Opens ports in the intake and exhaust 4. Increase/ decrease fueling and pump timing The placebo effect the q...

2.8 Hilux Eco and Sport modes
A friend of mine recently had a 2.8 hilux on his dyno for chip tuning. I asked him to do a back to back dyno run with the eco and sport button. Interesting the only thing that changes is throttle response. Ill post the before and after of the chip in another thread.

Hi everyone. Ive recently bought a clean and unmodified 2011 3.0 d4d 4x4 auto fortuner. I converted to the dark side after driving modified cars all my life. Mods thus far: 1. HID dims 2.
