If I read it correctly, the rear axle LC is 1600kg divided by half is 800kg per wheel. Ek het die voriges op my bakkie gehad en het gesê ek sal hulle nie weer opsit nie oor 'n paar goed wat ek ervaar het. Hulle was hard en daar het stukke rubber afgebreek as jy klippe ry. (selfs baie versigtig). Hulle was swak op 'n nat pad en het geweldig begin raas hier na die einde van hulle lewe....

Hi there

its that time again for my hilux to get some new shoes. i am currently running BG KO A/T. They have really done their job, i am therefore certain of replacing them with another set of BG KO2 A/T. Anybody have good /bad experiences with the KO2 A/T ?

Thats normal, sometimes even with new hoses you buy, some have that white powder on and others not. Must have something to do with either the manufacturing process or the composition of the rubber. If it wipes off I would not replace the pipe unless it gets hard or starts to crack. As I said I boug...

Seen that a couple of times. Does it rub off? Like powdery stuff? Could be many reasons for that. Maybe normal oxidation of the hose, or release agent from the mold when they make the hose, or just the rubber properties going through all those hot/cold cycles. No I don't think that the Toyota oil is not of good quality. On the contrary. It is just overpriced. It would be interesting to know who supplies Toyota. I know a number of very reputable diesel workshops use Caltex Delo 400 on the D4Ds and have used that on my bakkie for the past 190 000 kilometre...

Agree I use full synthetic oil from castrol every 10000km and I drive 80 % dirt roads and have not had a prob in 200000km I do however change my air filter every 5000 km for all the dust You get a oil filter adaptor with the 3 fingers as mentioned above for smaller oil filters that fits on your 1/4...

Later Autoboxes are 5 speed and the new 2016 Hilux is 6 speed, isn't it? I'm not sure about the 2016 Revo, but with the Vigo's(previous gen), the V6 auto petrol's are 5 speed and the D4D diesel's are 4 speed. I've had both and the gearing is well tuned on both! Just to add to the other inputs. When I replaced the waterpump on mine I could not find a definitive method of bleeding the system. I filled it as much as I could and then drove the vehicle. My money would be on an air lock and do you self a favour... replace the radiator cap with a new (geniune Toyota) one as this two could be a cause of overheating etc as it has to maintain the pressure in the system at a specified value.
