Lexus hard start.

I have 1uz non vvti in my old jalopy, spitronics management.
Lately (past two months or so) it has been having difficulty starting, especially initial startup in the morning. And startups during the day, although not as hectic as in the morning.
The fuel pump kicks in on the turn of the ignition, but runs a bit long to prime to my liking.
It suspect the fuel rail looses pressure during the night, which points to the pressure relieve valve or a dripping injector (or two or three). They appear to be the original Denso injectors the motor came with. So anywhere between 24 to 29 years old (possibly)
Or it could be the management, although unlikely. Once it starts it runs aces. Idles fine, power is there.. no problems.
I do get a fuel smell coming from the bakkie at times, and I replaced all fuel lines etc in April this year, cannot find any obvious leaks underneath.
As soon as I get a gap I'll check all the injectors for resistance differences etc. and all other necessary checks.
What I would like to know, has someone experienced something similar? What was your findings? Any pointers?
Dankie ouens.
