Good day all,
I noticed that the 2014 Toyota Hilux D4D Raider has the same stereo as the Legend 45 but with no rear camera option. Any idea if one can DIY?
Regards

It can be done. I bought a nudge bar from a guy that fitted his own after market camera. At the time didn't contemplate fitting one myself, so lost his contact info. Regret that now as I've seen benefit of camera in my family's Hiluxes. Also contemplating fitting one.
Did you ask Toyota about this option yet?

Our local toyota say since it has the same head unit as the Legend 45, it can be done but not by them.

Just phoned my Toy dealer. They also send away. Use Auto Enhance. They fit a camera just above the number plate apparently. Less than R2k from the sound of it. That includes the camera, cabling a labour.

Re: Rear camera installation on a 2014 Toyota Hilux Raider
Morning all
I bought an aftermarket camera from Chinese mall, works like a charm, but instead of fitting it to my bumper i fitted the camera at the top of my canopy to give me a better angle as i could now see the whole bumper and makes reversing in the bush a charm and when hitching up a trailer. I made up a bracket that i mounted the camera to and drilled a hole in the canopy on the inside of the door frame so that it would leak and helps hide the wires.
something to think about

I had one installed by Hillcrest Toyota.
Works perfectly. Mounted just above the towbar.
