WATER DRIVE 12 MARCH 2016 - SENEKAL FS

As you all know we have some serious drought issues at the moment. A couple of Hilux (and other bakkie) owners have organised a water drive to Senekal in the FS on 12 March 2016. We will leave from JHB and collect water in Alberton and Vereeniging on route to Senekal. So far we have 28 guys who have singed up on Facebook to assist. We have also been able to secure a 3ton and 6ton truck for the drive. I would like to get some of the club members in JHB involved as well. Please let me know if you are willing and able to assist.

Come on guys, this post has had 72 views and not even one replay.
I know some of us are involved with RFAD and Bridgestone, and that the weekend of 12 March is maybe not the ideal weekend, but surely there must be some guys who can assist?
We have just learned that there is about another 15,000liters of bottled water that we can take from Rooseveld Park (close to Cresta Shopping Centre) to Senekal together with the about 10,000liters we are taking from Alberton and Vereeniging. We are in desperate need of more vehicles and even a truck or two to assist with the transport of the water.
This is for a very worthy cause.

Is there really no one that can help out our esteemed club accountant with this one?
Is it a case of it is too far and petrol is expensive? or short notice?
Guys how would you like it if you were stuck in a town with no water?

Hallo daar, om vir 'n dag die vêr pad te vat is nie die probleem nie. Dis die kort kennisgewing. Reël vir die 26ste Maart, kan 'n plan maak. Wat sê die ander manne.

Wat daarvan, kyk hoeveel Hiluxse loop op daardie dag. Breek miskien 'n rekord vir die meeste Hiluxse bymekaar op een byeenkoms.

Wel, ek is in. Ja, die kennisgewing is kort, maar ek het die invite op FB gekry (dis nie so slegte plek soos almal uitmaak nie
)
Soos genoem sal ek indien moontlik sommer al Vrydag aand gaan water laai sodat ek Saterdag 'n uur langer kan slaap.

Hi! Ja die ding het nogal vinnig gebeur. Het die op 29Feb die eerste post gemaak, dit was letterlik n dag of twee na die reelings begin het.
Volgende een gaan Nylstro se kant toe wees. Sal bietjie meer notice kan gee!
