Re: Introduce myself and inquire about licencefree radio
Hi Marvin and welcome to the forum!
I'm not sure of the regulations in Namibia, but here such radio's are really little more than toys and don't give much range - the quality is not wonderful and they don't last too long either.
Personally I think you would be better off in the longer term to get a couple of decent VHF radios with the appropriate licences.

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Introduce myself and inquire about licencefree radio
Welcome Marvin. Family Dog (Eric) is our resident guru on radios if you need expert advice and the best service.
Most of us here however have licensed radios due to reliability issues from the license free stuff.
Please post some pics of your Uri
