broken name tag help?
Good day All
The Toyota name tag on the bin flap has lost the first T as it was probably broken off by something or someone.
How do I fix this?
I understand I would need a whole new one as the full name tag is one item with the Lettering connected to each other.
Do I only get this from the dealers and have them re place it back with that special double sided tape they use or is there an aftermarket option?
Any comments and help appreciated.
Thank you

Price the dealers first ... sometimes they surprise us with palatable prices.

I don't think it would be to much from the stealers. Normally it comes with the double sided tape already attached. You just take the old one off, clean the surface and make sure you stick the new one back on straight.

Re: broken name tag help?
Thanks guys
Will stop off a Toyota on Sat and have a chat with my mate there.
What would be the best to use to clean the surface after taking the old one off?
I have some marks on my 'rolla where I removed the black strips of the door and the dbl sided tape just don't want to come off, even scraping it with tar remover did not help 100%
Don't want the same thing happening with this.

Paraffin should do it, if not, cleaning benzine ..... won't attack the paint, but just to be sure, wash the area off after. (If you have a wax polish on the vehicle, it will take that off.)

Before you do anything radical try hot/boiling water. Softens most sticker adhesives.

So I popped in at the stealers over the wknd and went and ordered the name tag.
It was only R140 and I got it today.
Brand new shiny with adhesive and a Toyota warranty.
will be sticking it on as soon as the hail storm here is over.
