Hi Guys
As some of you have read, my Luxi is undergoing a Lexus conversion. Now 7 months on and lots of testing and mods, its almost coming to a happy end.
Lastly I need to sort out the shudder on pull off on the propshaft. I have done allot of research, and know what seems to be the issue, but now finding a reputable prop shaft specialist in the east rand area, prepared to look at my problem and build a shaft and brackets for new centre bearing etc to sort out the issue.
Anyone know if "THE BEST" guys to consult on the propshaft. Where I can take my bakkie, leave it there and get it back 120% sorted?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Not the Far East, but Propshaft Pro's in Pta West are reputable, did a good job on mine, but that's for the 22R though.

Get rid of the centre bearing and fit a one piece prop

Re: Best Guys for Prop-Shaft Mod for shudder
I see 99.9% of the guys in the states do this, but what should I put around the prop to catch it should it brake?
Have a friend that changed to a straight prop on a single cab KZTE 2.7. prop broke at about 120km/h and he almost rolled the bakkie. But the prop damaged his harness going to the back, fuel tank, dents in chassis, load bin etc.
So I need to know its safe, and some belt to catch it. was thinking of double safety belt material. What do you guys think?
