National Luna Fridge/freeezer question

Post by Niel »

I have a National Luna fridge/freezer(f/f) and have the following question: Is it not better to run the Stick Lite directly of the second battery as appose to from the f/f :?:

I see NL advertise that you can use the NL: Stick Lite(fluorescent light)
"The NL f/f is fitted with a 12v auxiliary socket whick allows the power pack to run a 12 volt fluorescent light directly off the refrigerator.

Niel, ja sorry I am only reading this comment "a year" later, but ...

Yip, I love to stirr ... my blue 'n white will come out when she is ready. It has been drycleaned & is in the safe until the season starts.
Until then I stirr with the white 'n orange. (I might even wear my autographed [Scalk Burger/Schalk Britz/Jeanne De Villiers] "Black" shirt this year.
Mmmmm .... decisions, decisions !

Let's stop there ... before BHB ... starts "painting the town blue".

Regarding you original question ... :( No idea ! I run Engel's.

Niel, I am not an authority on electrics by any means but I don't think it really matters where you run the light from.
IMO running it off the battery would give you less of a drop than running it from the fridge. I'm sure the guys at NL would have tested the socket and wouldn't have put it in if it was a problem.
