Please take note that the 4WDCSA Western Cape will, with Toyota, attempt to set a record for the most Hilux vehicles gathered at Atlantis Dunes near Cape Town on 30 October 2010.

Daar is baie Hilux eienaars wat nie so gereeld op Hilu4x4 kom nie OF self glad nie hier kyk nie.
Ons sal groot moet adverteer......

Do we not have anybody who is a member of the 4WDCSA-WC who can confirm that this event is still going to happen? And what are the chances of use doing this as a joint venture with the 4WDCSA-WC? Is it not in the best interest of both clubs to work together on this?

Correction!

The internet is a wundafool thing...

I just consulted the 4WDCSA-WC website, and it seems that this event is the annual Atlantis Fun Day and is open to all 4x4-ers from all over the world. Coenie Rat and I did this one year and somebody else did it last year and this is a whole lot of fun! Come let's get a big group together and go attend this event. Even if not everybody compete, spectating and supporting those club members who do compete is also a lot of fun, and we will definitely create awareness for the Club.

Silver will by done by the end of this month, Must have her done by next month as I am going on a little trip :training:
and maby Tonto if she is up to it will just not be doing any 4x4 as they say it's not good the mother and the bun in the oven)

Hi,

Just to clarify. The most Hilux vehicles and the Atlantis Fun Day are two seperate events that are occuring on the same weekend, in the same location, sharing the same logistics.

The Hilux Day will be on Saturday, 30 October.

The Atlantis Fun Day will be on Sunday, 31 October.

Entry into the one event will not mean an entry into the other event.

I apologise for any confusion I might have caused by looking this up on the internet, and getting the wires crossed. Thanks for setting the record straight. It looks like we'll be busy on that weekend. Maybe we should sommer camp in the dunes that night? :friends:

Derren, where at Atlantis will this happen? There are 2WD Hiluxes as well. Will it be at a place accessible for 2WD Hiluxes?

I know Bees can drive his 2WD Hilux anywhere in Atlantis, but I doubt that there will be many 2WD Hilux owners with the same skill as Bees.

pietpetoors, jy't my nou net voorgespring. Ek wil ook weet of my 4x2 dit sal maak. Ek het ook nie in die Kalahari of Namibie tussen die duine grootgeword nie, so ek beskou my nie as 'n expert sandryer nie. Ry is lekker, vassit is nie.

You guys are worried for nothing...

The dunes are very drivable in 4x2 with the right tyre-pressures. Just dont do the big ones, or when you do, do it with some momentum. If my blue Ford can any Hilux can...

Kan nie wag nie.....

Ek weet van 'n paar mense wat nie hier inteken of gereeld op die web kyk nie, maar wat wel ook daar sal wees.
Jammer ons kan dit nie verder adverteer nie.Ek is seker daar is baie HILUX'e wat ook sal daar wil wees, maar wat nie by enige 4x4 klub betrokke is nie OF op die web ky /lees nie.

Het iemand nie kontak by die plaaslike media/nuus nie......

Daar is reeds iets oor die betrokke dag in die SA4x4 Augustus 2010 op bladsy112.

Ek het gemeen meer in die rigting van PLAASLIKE koerante of teen lamp pale.

Dit sal tog die Kaapstad mense wees wat dit die meeste sal wil en kan bywoon.
Daar sal ook mesne wees wat daarvan vergeet het nadat hul die advertensies gelees het en dan sal kennisgewings teen lamp pale goed werk...

Just had a call from MORNE. This event is still happening, even though the details about is is very thin on the ground. Please do everything in your power to attend, and bring all your mates/family members/employees/neighhbours who own a Hilux or have enough money to rent one at AVIS... :veryhappy: :veryhappy: :veryhappy:
