Johan, let get together at the Orchard farm stall and continue further form there. If there is enough people that want to have a braai please let me know so I can arrange it with Susan. We can get there by 08:00 and wait for the other to arrive and leave from there at say 08:30 so we can start the trail at around 09:00. The trail is 38 km and should take us to between 13:00 and 14:00 to finish. Then have a braai or depart for home.

Let me know who wants to braai.

Niel, going on my Atlantis experience, the guys seem to prefered to high tail afterwards. I must say that the wind may have been the reason at the time. It seems they like to have a post mortem but preferred to do it over a cold one and maybe some sort of prepared snack rather than unpacking a lot of kitchen etc. Again, the wind may have been the main reason... I definately like the debrief and will stay to the end, but prefer not to worry about carting the a Dorper and it's mates all the way out there. Well maybe one or two of it's mates, the Tafel (en stoeltjie) and such..

Teer is hard teen 60. So na `n wyle in hospitaalbed is ek nou by huis. Skade is dat linker arm seergekry het. Basies gewrig opgeneek en hand dislocate. Trotse eienaar van plaat en 8 skroewe.

Ten minste deur mense in nuwe Hilux 4X4 opgelaai. Ben Swart dankie weereens.

Soos gewoonlik weggehardloop.

Thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen that attended the GTG. If it was not for you it would not have been a great day. The weather played its part and the views were awesome. The route consisted of mainly forest roads with three rocky sections as a "tester". The third rocky climb has an escape route but a few vehicles did make it. The rest took the bypass. The group then split and the big big rugby fans went home while the rest of us continue on the route.

Thanks once again to the attendees in no particular order):
JBurger and Pieter
Katools, Eben, Jaco,Stiaan and Johan
Swifty, Martin en Marieta
Jacques and Miranda
Flying Hilux, Marius
Bosvark, Johan, Mercia and childern
John Scarts and son
Coopraider, Peter, Roxy and Jade
Suidwes, Jaco
Dadztoys, Richard and William
Richard and Chalene
Alphons, Thora and Shian-Pierre
Pietpetoors, Pieter and Elmi

I will post some pics later.

Thanks for a great day and hope to do it again soon.

I would also like to thank Niel for organizing another trip. I would also like to thank all the other guys who joined us for the day. It was great meeting you all. Sorry to hear about your misfortune "dadz toys". Hope you will have her back on the road quickly.

It was not as boring a route as some people commented before we went. I add some photographs below. Unfortunately my camera was set on ASA 3200 from a previous night shoot and I did not realize it until I started photographing the flowers while Eben was conquering that long hill. So all my nice pics were spoiled.
