Suspicious green box
Hi, this is my first time posting here. I have found a green box inside the cabin of my hilux, the front of the box has the name "masana petroleum solutions" and it has a green and a red light that's on. Any idea what's this for? I tried attaching a picture but it's too large to attach

Maybe a tracker of some kind. Your vehicle was probably one of Masana's fleet vehicles.

Re: Suspicious green box
I would take it out as it is an additional drain on your battery.

Hi Shirom,
A while back BP had a system (maybe they still do) where you could fill up and the amount is debited to an account, company account normally and they gave a bulk discount. Masana was the scheme name I think. The system worked like this: The nozzle from the fuel pump has a sensor and it is activated when they insert the nozzel into your filler pipe on your bakkie. You will see that there is a round rubber ring around the filler pipe that is attached to the green box. Just take it all out......

Or leave it in and charge your fuel to an anonymous donor.
