After nearly 500kms of racing the top 4 were covered by a minute and Hirvonen took the stage win by 9 seconds , yes 9 seconds, from Al-Attiyah - really amazing.

Thanks Cassie !

So easy to loose perspective and to bad mouth the Dakar.

But there is no such thing as an "easy Dakar".

Absolute RESPECT to one and all that gets of the couch and actually attempt this.

From the inside of the team I had Glynn Hall reporting that this year was to date the most intense and most competitive race held on the Dakar. Being 3rd from where Geniel was is proof that they are getting it right with almost no issues this year on the Hilux'es which has been their no 1 aim and they have achieved it. The team is happy with the vehicle and the new engine so now they will work again on getting it even better and faster with more agile handling.
