Khaudum, is officially closed long time ago, but they did not tell the officials staying there.
They will still allow the camp or drive through and you pay next to nothing and get a receipt. So yes you can go.

Re: Khaudum park
Dion, I have done Kaudom about three times since it has closed. Each time there is less game and the game is more skitterish (wild).
Northern side of Park is very sandy and you need to be self sufficient in the Park, as the facilities are just about non-existant. Showers and toilets at Kaudom(North) broken down by elephants to get to the water. There was a tap which gets put in to the nearest campsite from the old ablution facilities next to a big tree on the left of the ablution facilities from the office side, when you come into the campsite. There are units in both campsites, but you need to be self sufficient.
At Sigaretti there was water and ablution facilities, but the "old Donkey"(no relation to Thumelo) was leaking badly onto the fire. When I was there there was no fuel South of the Park (cannot remember the name of the town, but have heard that fuel was being sold there again, but I do not know how reliable the availability will be. The Dorsland trekkers also had a meeting place there at the Boababs south of the Park). Nice sand driving experience and would suggest going down the Eastern side of the park to Sekeretti and returning in the centre of the park, back to Kaudom and out again, unless you are returning through Busmanland (South) or back West to Grootfontein if I remember correctly.
Enjoy the trip.

Re: Khaudum park
The game numbers vary through out the year depend the raining season etc, but yes some of them will not give even a change taking a photo.
There are hunting concessions close to the area, which could effects Khaudum.
