Re: Newbie on the Hilux Forum !!!
Welcome aboard Riaan!
The KZTE was a very popular vehicle, lotsa grunt in that diesel motor. The only issues are how well it's been maintained, current mileage and how hard it's been worked. Injectors sometimes give hassles but not too bad, needs a good radiator as they tend to overheat when working hard and the radiator is 'weak'. Cylinder heads are also prone to suffer as a result of overheating / working hard for lengthy periods (like with heavy towing). A FSH might give you some peace of mind, but with all used vehicles, there is no way of knowing what all might go wrong.
Enjoy it all the same!

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
