Re: Hi ALL
Don't have any experience with the Lexus personally but from what I gather, if done properly, it's a match made in heaven for the SFA.
Good luck with your toy.

Welcome aboard Dane!
Conversions are not every one's cup of tea .... there's the ultra purists that prefer completely original equipment, and then of course not all conversions are smooth .... there's often a lot of little (some not so little) niggles to iron out, some of which may still require attention when you aquire the vehicle. A V8 developes quite a bit more torque than what the SFA motors delivered, so the original drivetrain will be a little inadequate unless one adapts a subdued driving style to nurse the gearbox / diff etc. but let's be real .... with that power and grunt available, you're gonna tramp that noise pedal every now and then. So has the drivetrain been upgraded as well?
A safer bet would probably be an original motor match, but I would be seriously tempted to go for the Lexus myself and deal with any issues as they arise ...... just know it's possible that some may arise.

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Thanks guys,
I'm well aware of purists in any and all kinds of motorsport.I have been involved with a lot of projects from cars to bikes, and at the end of the day it boils down to what makes you happy...
Thanks for the input guys,
If I buy that truck I think it will be a nice platform t0 start off from.
Will keep you up to date to what I decide..
