DCC Training - Two Oceans
A few pictures of the DCC Training attented this weekend in Stellenbosch.
Thank you to Thys and Anton of African Offroad Academy for a very professional presentation.
Something everyone of us must do.It was a great experience.
We went to a gravel road where the instructors demonstrated emergency brakes. The Two Oceans route runs up the the side of the Helderberg. We all gathered around for the Stall/Start assesment. Some of the guys waiting for the rest of the group to catch up.
The raod is vissable going up to the lookout point. Ciske making sure he is against the tree before reversing at a very tight turn on the Boom Slang obstacle. Going down Boom Slang.Picture taken from behind my steering wheel. THis section can get very tricky when the rocks are lose.We went up there with not much trouble.

Also went there on Sunday, with a group of friends(4 vehicles... Madza, Jeep, Toyota and Nissan)... love to view from the top, was a bit disappointed that some of the obstacles have been graded(flat), making them really so easy, nobody battle will any of them! Still a day out 4x4ing is better than a day stuck at home! Found Nugget(Andrew) their too... doing Boomslang wrong way round...

Thanks Jaco, Ciske and Pieter for attending the course, I trust you guys had a great time. I'll ask Anton for his photographs, as I left my camera (and petrol) at home...
