Re: Please advice me on this Hilux

The price seems to be on the high end. Make sure the km's are also real, seems to be a bit low. But wrt the KZTE. It is a briliant engine, when treated correcly. eg has had an oil change regularly. The cambelt should be changed every 100k so would do that anyways, incl tensioner and pulley. The head...

Re: Dyno Charts

check that your turbo is not leaking. I also took my KZTE in today for a tune and got the following results, mine also has an IC + chip. 81Kw / 368Nm However I'm not sure what you mean Gunta with the turbo is leaking? Are you saying that it leaks from the inlet pipe or that the pressure is of the t...

Re: "Alu" Canopy for '99 IFS

Hi Chris, Would love to see the end result and a breakdown of your costs... Also one baffles me a bit... We had a near death experience in 2009 with a blowout, where my 2001 2700i rolled about 5 times (well from what I was told it was 5 times) and the only thing that saved our lives was the ...

Me, my wife Willa and little boy Aiden will be there. First event with the Hilux 4x4 club... What time should we be there? And do we pay upfront or on the day?

See I never replied to your question....

If I remember correctly it was two bearings a side. But now I also have to say that Centurion bearing supplies have closed down, unless they have moved.

Probeer Headzone in Centurion. Groete Sal hulle probeer, dankie,...

Re: Help - Hilux KZ TE moontlike head gasket geblaas 2002

Maak jouself reg vir so R15 tot R20 K. He...

Re: KZ-TE Engine failure log

Had the head replaced at 235k km due to malfunctioning termostat. Best is to always check the radiator if it is not clogged. Also it depends if you driving it hard. Try keep revs to 2500 rpm and install a EGT (Exaust Gas Temperature) Gauge. This is next on my list. It will ensure that when something...

Re: KZ-TE "Engine-light" that lights up every now and then

Hi All, I have a similar issue, recently had the head replaced but no overheating problems, so dont think this is still an issue. Did the flash codes excercise as described above and worked out to code 12 Crankshaft position sensor. I also have a IC + chip and have made a booking early jan 2012 but ...

I had a similar problem like ths once, where the relay was replaced and the programming redone. But the real issue was I wanted a second remote and the agents were unable to do so without a new relay.

Re: Rear Whining Noise (Whoowhoow)

Sorry I'm only replying to you guys now, but yes my problem was sorted. In the end it was a bearing noise and replaced it with the bearing kit 379 from Timkin. I bought it at Centurion Bearing Supplies for a measly R450 for both. I then took it to CMH Midrand and they also had to use other seals as ...

Rear Whining Noise (Whoowhoow)

Hi Guys, I'm new here (as you can see) and thought my first topic of discussion would be to sort out a whining noise that I've had for nearly over a year and it seems to worsen everyday... Firstly when driving at about 70km/h you hear a constant (whoowhoo) noise seems to be from the back. No...
