Dashboard removal

I'm busy stripping the dash from my spare Hilux. How do I remove the top section on the passenger side? This is the part with the air vents in above the cubbyhole. I have removed the screws in the front and the one nut which you can get to with the instrument cluster removed, but there is still some...

I've used Castrol GTX for years. No problem with sludge. Remember, what happens to the oil is a function of the engine condition, how you drive (short trips/long trips) and how often you actually change the oil. I'm you the Hilux fanatics here change their oil more regularly than the owners manual s...

Attached is a pic of the load proportining valve from a photo I had on file. It is attached to the rear axle and apportions more hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes the more you load the bak. I took the engine from my donor Hilux. It had a JT3000 conversion. The engine was shot and had fire damage, so I stripped it completely and then rebuilt it. I did the conversion myself at home. So far no problems. I'm using the standard gearbox with a GILO engineering bellhousing. The other gearbox ...

I went from 4Y to Essex V6 as I had the engine available. Works well no problems. I used a Hilux Diesel radiator and Nissan 9 blade fan without viscous coupling. You have to panelbeat the passenger side firewall about 40mm back to clear the right cylinder head. Otherwise it just drops in (well actua...
