Hi all,
Since this morning central locking works only on my driver door using either the remote or the button on the door console.
I have to now manually lock and unlock the other 3 doors.
Any idea where I can start looking for the fault on this?
2000 Hulix 2700i 4X2
Thanks a lot
Pierre

Hi Jan, can I guess and say you want to fit a hidden switch as a DIY immobilizer?
If so - I'm also going to start looking for that relay or a way to fit a switch to the pump's operation.
Any comments would be welcome

Getting 4X2 unstuck
Hi all, I've just 'downgraded' to a 4X2 again after many years in a 4X4. Was wondering - what is the best tips/advice/equipment to carry along in case you get stuck in a 4X2 - especially the Hilux with it's light tail and plenty power on tap. 1. High lift jack 2. Spade 3. 50kg on the back axle or ge...

Just got my MadMan EGT in the post. Seems like quite a job to get to the manifold to tap in the sensor. Engine was too hot to check nicely - will start with hole in dashboard. Very easy and cheap to do:
Check the fuse box, driver side, next to your right knee.

A worrying amount came out (in spite of being parked on a level floor at the local petrol station).
I'd say close to a liter. I wonder if the guy who filled it turned the bakkie on it's side to do it!!
The added oil pressure might be the reason for the stiff gear change.

One thing I learned which I was always under the wrong impression and that is the reason for deflating tyres is not to widen the footprint but the true benefit is that it makes the footprint longer to give you more "reach" forward & backward so to speak.
