Rich,the Nuvi 500 goes for around 5k when I got mine,but it is "waterproof" as they say.For how deep and how long is debateable!Most important thing is ,you gotta know how to operate these things...............wish I knew

Only replace with the genuine part and re-route so that it doesn't pass as close to the exhaust manifold I have yet to find an aftermarket cable that doesn't make the needle jump. Can confirm what Willem says.Tried that and it does NOT work.Toyota speedo cable +- R650.00 . Aftermarket stuff R100.00...

Some people recon that a thermostat is VERY important indeed.A thermostat helps control the flow rate so that the water stays longer in the radiator to cool down.Certain vehicles overheats if a thermostat is not in place.
