Re: Side shaft KZTE
Hi Thomas, A mistake that mechanics often make is to press the abs ring and last slip ring hard up against the bearing ring. The ABS ring and slip ring should be pressed to a specific distance from the wheel flange. The oil seal runs on the last slip ring not the shaft so if it has been pressed too ...

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Leak Problem
Hi All This only applies to 2001 - 2005 models This is the likely problem with your rear axle leaking soon after a new bearing has been installed. In the order of what is pressed on to the half axle shaft is the following: 1. Bearing, 2. Retaining Ring, 3. ABS ring, 4. Slip ring The Oil seal seals o...

Hi Andy
Im not keen to hot dip galvanise because of the chance of warpage.
Flat plate that has been cold bent has a tendancy to try and relieve the stresses when it is dipped.

So I got tired of the Polar Bear dragging its bum on obstacles so decided to design and build a new bumper. I had the components cnc plasma cut from my CAD drawing and bent. In hindsight it would have been better to get it laser cut because it is a lot neater. New bumper is about 60mm higher and 30m...

I would like to relate my experience of excellent service. I had a front locker installed by Francois at 4XLux in Brackenfell. Re: 4x4 KZ sometimes jump out 1st gear- Sollutions Posted here
I had this problem on my 2.7
There is a bush that the ball of the gearlever sits in.
When this bush is worn or disintegrated it jumps out of first gear.
The agents dont supply the bush only (go figure), they only supply the whole gearlever assembly.
Alan (Hoppy) supplies these bushes.

Hi there,
Does anyone know whether the OSBII dongles that can be bought on the internet will work on a 2002 Hilux 2700i 3RZ-FE?
If not does anyone know a cost effective way to check for fault codes on the vehicle?
Cheers

As a matter of course get some switch cleaner in an aerosol can, remove the sensor in the intake pipe and give the sensors a good clean. Allow the excess switch cleaner to evaporate and reinstall. Makes a huge difference.

Some brake specialists will often brake off the tags on the automatic adjuster and make the brakes "manual" adjustment. This is done because the automatic adjuster can often over adjust the shoes and cause them to bind which overheats the drums and warps them. Believe me I know Ive had thi...

As most of you know to grease the propshaft you need a grease gun with a nozzle of 8mm diameter or less.
I have been looking all over for a grease gun with a suitable nozzle with no success.
Does anyone know where one can get a suitable nozzle?
