2.8 3l to a 4y

I would like to know if it will be worth wile changing from a 2.8 3l diesel to a 2.2 4y i have rebuilt my motor after it got hot and have the same problem I have done evrything new head new radiator new thermostat new water pump(all is new) and it still gets hot when i go over 80 km/h or on the open...
