This is how I have the specs (There are differences according to which source and country the specs are taken from-so let me know if anything is incorrect)

G52, G54, G58 Gearbox- 2L, 3L, 5L 22R etc Engines
W56 series gearboxes used on the 3RZ-FE engines
R151 Gearbox used on the 1KZ- engines
R151 Gearbox is slightly longer that the W series

G & W series has 3 gearbox to engine mounting bolts
R series has 6 gearbox to engine mounting bolts

RF1A Transfer case- Gear driven used on the G series gearboxes
VF1A Transfer case - Chain driven used on the W series gearboxes
